Have a new Frontier RC2072 rotary cutter. Used it once late last fall after I bought it, then covered it with a tarp and set it on some low blocking outside for the winter. Tried to leave enough space for airflow, but wish I had a better storage option.

Anyway, looking for advice on what maintenance I should do on the slip clutch this spring before use. The manual has a section on disassembling and inspecting. There's also this guy who says to "slip it": Slipping a Slip Clutch - YouTube

Should I at least inspect, even with this being a new unit?

Yes! Not only inspect it but you should always "Slip It" also. Nothing worse than ruining your gearbox and/or PTO.

What Mike said. A bit of a pain to loosen/slip/tighten, but something that's needed to be sure your clutch isn't stuck and risking damaging your PTO.
