What would be the recommended choice of brush hog for a B2410? I'm looking to cut brush up to 2 inch, if possible. What should I expect to pay for such a beast?

I have a 5' King Kutter on my B2510. Haven't cut anything 2" I don't think, but certainly 1"- 1.5" range. No issues yet. Lots of threads on the "quality" of KK, but they are relatively cheap and I've had no issues with mine. I do need to lower the pins so I can raise the cutter a little higher off the ground for transport.

I won't comment on price, because I'd be quoting Canadian dollars and local market that is irrelevent in most cases. The folks here will want to know where you live to help you out with accurate $$.

I believe your manual recomends no larger than 48" and thats a proper suggestion. I currently have a 4ft King Kutter rotary cutter for my B2400( Predessor to your B2410) and it handles it well. I had considered getting a larger unit for it but after mowing some heavy brush and deep prairie grass( 4-5ft!), I don't believe it would work too well. The deep grass and a good sized hill elevated the engine temperatures and though they didn't get dangerously high it was a sign the engine was working harder than I liked.
Prices vary from region to region and among different brands. I paid approx. $450 for the 4FT King Kutter at our local TSC 2 years ago. It may pay to find a used one somewhere, especially if you plan on beating it real hard on small trees and such!!

Well, that is some big stuff for a 2410. I would go no larger than a 48 inch or a 54 inch (rare). You will need a slip clutch to protect the tractor. The shear pins are to heavy in my KK. I have cut brush and weeds and prarie grass, nothing much over 1 inch, maybe a bit more. They were that Sumac stuff and cut pretty easy and a few saplings. If that two inch brush you have are saplings and such--it is probably to much for a small tractor. J

If it is eastern white pine you might do it, their real soft. It still probably amounts to a fair degree of abuse.
