Rotor tiller parts.

The 48" rotor tiller for my PT425 has blown the hydraulic motor seal. I took it to the local tractor repair shop but they said they need to know the motor manufacturer/model number so they can order a kit or new seal and bearing.

Does anyone know what motor is on the tiller. I bought it in spring-summer of 2005 if that helps.

I am thinking that your best bet is to order the seal kit from PT. If you called PT, they should have given you the price and availability of the seal kit. If you send the motor to PT, they will do it right.

It's best to contact PT as directly as possible. If you can't walk in the door, call during their business hours. Terry and Keith both seem to enjoy talking directly to people. I've always gotten responsive service on the phone or in person. E-mail and other written communications don't get the same priority.
