So I found a good deal on a used Howard rotovator. It is an offset model and I noticed when tilling I start to run off at an angle to the right instead of going in a straight line. This messes up what I have tilled. The tiller is set straight at the 3pt. Is this common with offset tillers or is it just my operating? Also the gearbox being offset causes quite an angle to the pto shaft u-joint. The slip clutch has a couple bent studs and missing springs from previous owner. Where do you get parts for these cheap.

the frame is likely bent, just straighten it and you'll still have a good deal

Can you not steer while tilling? I have a reverse tine tiller and I can steer pretty well while tilling. Is this not true for a forward type tiller?

some tillers have the gear box that moves when you off set - is yours that way?
