Round Baler HELP..Case IH 8440 or Hesston 5510

Hi all. I need to chat with someone that KNOWS this baler.... I bought it a few weeks ago and have been going over it and it all seems to be in really good shape. This baler usually has 4" belts, but this one has 6" belts..
The other MAJOR thing is the "Forming Grid" assembly is missing....Completely.
If it had a "Forming Grid" the wider belts would not work as they would interfere with the grid support arms.
SO... It looks like someone has intentionally removed the Grid assembly and installed wider belts.
I have not tried to bale with it yet, but now looking for some info on this baler..... The previous owner did bale with it several years ago for only one season and did a couple hundred bales. He had issues with it plugging up, but he also had the pickup as low as it would go and was probly going too fast.
