I know on the newer tractors you’re supposed to run at a high rpm, I have a tc40d hst and was wondering if there’s a certain rpm I’m supposed to run the engine when doing loader work, not really working tractor hard?
Most CUTs seem to do their best between 1800 & 2200 RPM, usually between peak torque rpm and PTO rpm.
All four of mine have been trouble-free and performed best there. (still have/use three)
Exactly. Each tractor has a 'sweet spot' when it comes to operating RPM... run it lower than that and the machine struggles, run it higher and you're just wasting fuel. (Note: this is different to PTO operating RPM)Most CUTs seem to do their best between 1800 & 2200 RPM, usually between peak torque rpm and PTO rpm.
