RS 1200 busted tine shaft

Hey guys, I bought and old RS 1200 cheap. Thought it might be worth fixing or at least good for parts. Everything turns free(gear box has oil in it) and it does'nt look to bad, it looks like it hung up on something that broke several tines before stopping the shaft and causing the end of the shaft to split where it attaches to the gear box. Anybody know where I can get a tine shaft? Is it worth fixing?

Is welding possible? How does the shaft attach to the gearbox?

I just went out and looked at again. I think I can weld it. I just wanted to see if this shaft is available. I would'nt mind finding another non-working RS1200 for parts.

At 1 time , Fredicks had alot of these tillers. Don't know it they still deal in the old yanmar tillers or not. Might b worth a call
