New machine with 7 ft straight blade with hydro lift and angle. When cold if I press the plow down button the plow goes down to the full extent pushing the front wheels up. I cannot stop the extent of the down command until the machine gets warm. Is this normal ? Does cold fluid keep the valve open despite commanding it to come up to a workable height? So I can't plow until the machine gets fully warm. I don't try to work any machine hard with cold fluid , but my tractor doesn't act like this. This is the only RTV I've ever operated and know no one else who owns one. The up command does the same thing blasting up to the top position. thanks

You could adjust the detent or relief valves. First I would change or make sure you are running Super UTD. It is a lighter viscosity I believe. The same thing would happen with my splitter until warm. Hydraulics don't like cold oil with a molasses consistency. Especially with finely machined spools and ports with close tolerances.

A 15 minute warmup and it worked properly. Plow was unusable til I gave the long warm-up. I will investigate the UDT fluid. Anyone know what hydro fluid a 2013 manufactured RTV 1100 would have shipped with?. I did put Amsoil synthetic Hydro fluid in my tractor after about a year of ownership, it did seem to flow better in the cold... Loader squealed less til full warmup. Should I replace just the hrdro fluid in the RTV or the tranny fliud also ?

Should be UDT-2...That's a very good fluid..What ambient temperatures are we talking about? That fluid has to move 4 or 5 feet from the pump to the plow. So, I would think single digits would be a potential issue. I always let mine warm up at least 10 minutes before I plow. I only have hydro power angle with an electric lift actuator. Was the hyro lift an OEM item?
