Do the farmers in MA have to register their tractors? Because that is what an RTV is, its a tractor. Those things are so new that even the insurance companies don't know how to classify them.
I'm not a farmer so I'm not sure. I have seen farm equipment on the public roads but I believe they have a special farm license plate attached to them but I'm not sure if it's required - maybe only if you have to use them on public roads.
I don't have any registration for my RTV900 but I did receive a title from Kubota for it. I'm sure if I asked the RMV about the Kubota they would come up with some requirements that would involve fees.
My mistake was asking about an old pick up truck - ignorance is bliss. I'm sure people in MA have unregistered vehicles on their property but all it would take is a neighbor with a grudge and someone in authority would probably show up to rectify the situation.
The RTV1100 is basically the same size/weight as the RTV900 w/ Curtis cab...its a little bigger in the cab area due to the integrated cab frame & its components. So, it (more or less) has the same footprint as the RTV900 w/ cab. This new factory cab is a lot quieter than the RTV900 w/ cab (sound insulation everywhere) and the added power is nice.
