rtv 1100 windshield

Well I went to a clays shooting club over the weekend, took the Rtv 1100 on a trailer behind my truck. Anyway about half way home the windshield vaporized/exploded all over. Not sure what happend, maybe the wind broke it out, maybe something hit it. Either way thats going to be about $350 to fix.

Similar incident with cab windshield on my CUT this year. Hauling on trailer. I suspect a rock hitting the glass is the culprit. Safety glass will shatter into a million peices. Repair was over $1000 - most was labor. RTV should be easier to replace.

Did you have it on your trailer backwards. Thats helps !!!

One thing I do also, ( have a RTV 900, no cab ) is put a banner ( tarp material etc. etc ) around the back window ( mesh ) and adds some to the protection to the glass ......

I've always had a fear of something like that happening ~~~~~

I never even gave it a thought, I haul tractors with cabs, this RTV several times in the past....... just unlucky this time I guess.
