rtv 400-2mph in high gear

Was out of town for a couple of weeks and let some guys drive my RTV 400 around my place with their little kids. Now has no power in high gear. Goes maybe 3 mph and barely makes it up little hills. Low gear is better and reverse is maybe 60% normal. Engine starts fine, rpms fine, shifts fine, and no weird noises. Also, when I put it in 4wd it doesn't move at all in high gear. I'm not mechanically minded at all--any ideas/suggestions? I'm headed to the repair shop in 2 days or so. Thanks!

Check the CVT Drive belt, probably got toasted.

I'd bet your "buddy's " know what happened. I loan my stuff out to 1 or 2 people I absolutely trust with my equipment. Other than that, it's a flat out NO!

Just go out and buy a new one. Let them have the old one to play with.

What were you thinking ? What kind of 'friends' would return a broken machine and not agree to pay to have it fixed ?
