Ours showed up yesterday at the dealership,.. noticeably narrower and shorter. Took it for a test drive,.. still under powered, the engine should have another 5-10hp although it is very quiet. The rear 4 link suspension is "okay", but the seat is TERRIBLE! period, it rides so rough I was done after about 15min. Kubota should have at least used a softer foam cushion, I can see this only getting worse with time and the seat cracking.
It comes with small 24x9 tires front and 24x11 rear,.. and ground clearance is meager. On a side note, there is the opportunity for a 2" lift or taller to fit 25-26" tires, whether you could turn them efficiently has yet to be tested. Haven't found a way to tweak the throttle yet, like I did on the diesel models.
The dash layout is fairly nice,.. plain,.. but fine for what needs to be displayed,.. the shifting was a lot better than the 900/1100's. No gear train torque lockup when stuck on a hill or hole, when in LOW, goes down to HI, NEUTRAL then REVERSE. 4wd is a cable, lever lock into a notch, same as for rear diff lock,.. shifting is smooth and did not feel the fork lockups like in the 900/1100.
Lots of storage opportunity under the front hood,. no compartments other than the passenger glove box,.. mostly just empty space. From what I can see you should be able to fit 4-5 beer under the seat laying down.
The winch mount is OPEN,.. no more laying down in the mud, or climbing under the hood and reaching way down to free spool.
It is a nice machine,.. as long as a person doesn't expect more than it is capable of.
Well that is my review of a 15min drive.
