The dealer delivered the new tail lights (the old were broken). I didn't really need them but went ahead and installed them anyway. Also the hour meter hadn't budged since I bought it. Had good power to the back of the unit, so the dealer gave me a new unit. I was worried that it had been broken for years and the unit actually had major hours on the clock, but the dealer looked up the service records and found the PO had averaged 50 hours per year (second home owner used it only on vacation up here). Judging from the last service we figured at the most the unit had 250 hours; that was a relief!
I have one more nagging thing to investigate. I have a loud rattling sound at idle that stops if I grab the exhaust pipe. Probably a broken hanger and an easy fix.
Two of my goldens have taken to riding with me, and it's nice to have company.
I've been using my mini ex to clean out the drainage ditches at the side of our road. In the past I left huge piles of sand for the town highway department to take away when they regrade the road, but this time I used the RTV to bring it home and use as fill. Three scoops with the 40" cleanout bucket fill the RTV bed to overflowing, and it drove up our steep hill without hesitation. It's sort of like a 3/4 ton truck in that it handles better with a full load.
And the hydraulic dump is to die for!
