Bought a 2005 at auction sat.Its got 318 hours and seems to be in great shape. So far the only things I've found wrong are the temp guage isn't working and the fan at the radiator hasn't come on.I've checked the fuse, its good.Any help before I haul it to the dealer?
Thanks,
tony

I own a RTV 900 also, purchased it new in Feb 2007 ....
The temp guages on these machines are not the best in the world. When replacing the guage, I would get a guage that has the numbers and actually tells one what the temp is . Some machines show the same temp, some running just off the rail, and some getting close to the red, but still, it will be in the safe zone. Just something to think about .
Now, the fan .... These fans cycle. Be careful.... but I would run a " hot " wire direct and see if it kicks in. Don't know how much you have run the machine. But first thing you better do is get a guage on the machine to tell if the temp of the machine is in the area that the fan needs to be a kicking on .
Don't guess at the temp, go ahead and take that step and fix the guage first.

Thanks two guns, advice well taken.I havn't ran it much, just around the yard to check things out.I might not have ran it enough to make the fan cycle, its pretty cool here.I'II change the gauge out and check the fan motor.Plus I'm going to chane all fluids since I not certain about the history.
Thanks.tony3542

When you change the fluids in the engine & tranny ....
Be sure to use OEM KUBOTA filters & fluids...
YES , It does make a differance, and with the Kubota Hydro Tranny Fluid, go ahead a get the Super UDT, the RTV's run stonger and smoother on that fluid.
Don't forget to change out the fuel filter .... and check the oil in the front end also, at the hours you have, they are due to be checked ~~~

I'd try cycling the gauge with a jumper wire before running down to the dealeer to get a new gauge.
