RTV and Mule trans pricecheck.....also need feedback on utv's....

hey everyone,

I currently have a rhino and need something that is easier to steer. I have developed some neuro. problems with my hands and I need something that gives less feedback through the steering wheel and turns easier. It is used on an 80 acre farm that we have. It is going to be used for 60% work and 40% hunting on the farm. I am debating between an rtv and mule trans(4 seater), badboy 4wd golf cart and one of those Japanese mini-trucks. I also have a kubota tractor so having a rtv would be nice as well. Ultimately I am looking for something that will last for a long time and hold up to some hard work. The rhino has been a fine machine but my hands need something a little easier to drive on my hands. The bad boy is kinda out of the genre of the other vehicles but it has my attention because of it's quietness and 4wd capabilities. Since I already have a tractor with a loader than having a full blown work utv may be overkill but on the other hand I think it still has a place on our farm. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

i think the trans mule would be harder to steer than a rhino just because it is heavier.i own a rhino and an rtv so i can tell you the rtv is much easier to steer.the power steering makes it so nice. not the best rough trail machine but if easy steering hard working are your main needs its the best

I actually bought an rtv this afternoon with a hard cab. I am looking forward to using it.

2007 gas trans 4=$9600 $10,600 includes 7% tax, windshield and roof
2007 diesel trans 4=$10,800 $11,850 incl 7% tax, windshield and roof

These prices were quoted to me Monday of this week by a dealer in Hendersonville NC They are essentially list price with a $295 "assembly fee" added into the total. Kawa dealers seem to stick to list price pretty close. The cheap version windshield and roof were about $50 of the total.

The $295 dealer fee and the $50=$345 So you essentially get those two items for $345 in addition to paying list price.

The Asheville NC dealer was higher when I spoke to him several months ago. He wanted OVER list price.

For what you're going to do with it you made an excellent choice. The steering is effortless and ruts and things won't jerk the wheel out of your hand. Did you get the hydraulic dump bed? That is awesome!

Gordon21 , I was quoted $9800.00 cash for the utility w/dump bed from a dealer in north Georgia. The most I was quoted was $10249.00 from a dealer in N.C. Shop around you can get a deal. Don't forget to mention the $500.00 rebate for cash deals. Good luck.

I got the recreational model which has a hydraulic dump standard and is camo colored. Then I also opted for the camo enclosure. The enclosure looked like a nice feature to have in bad/cold weather plus the doors will make it a little safer to ride with my two young boys because it will keep their hands in the vehicle. thanks again.
