I bought a recreational RTV last month with the soft Camo Curtis cab. I thought it would be nice to have a dome light for loading up at the deer blind in predawn darkness and assumed, that since it was a Curtic cab, the dome light sold by Curtis would be a nice fit. It cost $29 plus shipping and was a cheap molded plastic hockey puck looking deal with two screw holes in the bottom plate. The installation instructions from Curtis were: "Hook the red wire up to power and the black wire up to ground..." I called them up for advice on where to mount it and the best place to route the wiring and they said, "just drill some holes through the roof and put a dab of silicone on the screws before you put them in so it won't leak.." I sent it back and found a nice dome light designed for Jeeps that straps to a roll bar with nylon straps. I used a little double-sided tape on the mounts to keep it from sliding and it installed easily and works great. I tapped into the ground wire for my rear work lights and ran the power wire down to the connection where the work lights hook up, using the blue wire (battery 12 volts) instead of the red/yellow switched 12 volts and it made for a nice installation. The domelight was only $12.99!
