Has anyone had any problems with the mounts for the rear oil tank on a Turf model breaking? I noticed mine is broken and my tank is hanging on one side. I just wonder if this has been a problem for others. I know they had a problem when they first came out with the oil tanks melting (metal melting?) if you use the rear Hydro connections. Mine is only two years old with 105 hours of very light duty use. It is used more on our local roads then in any dirt conditions. It is my wifes golf cart to get to the boat.

Also for all of you that put on those big lug tires; does it make the ride on hard pavement shake you to death? There are times when I won't use my RTV in the mud because of the turf tires (and they will get stuck in a heartbeat, trust me) filling with mud and getting stuck. I don't want the RTV to self distruct, like the oil tank brackets, if I change to these tires. Any thoughts or problems?

Lastly, does anyone know who makes clamps that go around the ROPs of the RTV. These are the 2" flat plastic with a single bolt hole for mounting mirrors (like the nice one I got from Hunterworks) and would like to use on my homemade windshield. I am not looking for muffler clamps. These are more like wire looms only wider.

Thanks for the help.

DelfinoTX,

Mines an 06 with low hours so I haven't had the tank problems yet.

I have the ATV tires and don't notice any vibration from the tires when on pavement. I wouldn't worry about it. I can imagine those turf tires probably get stuck on a glob of snot.

I did get mine stuck but I had the frame bottomed out on a big rock on a really steep hill. I sure wished I had bought the winch.:(
Otherwise the ATV tires do pretty good.

What year is your US turf model? It sounds like you have an old turf model with the rear mounted metal hyd. tank. The newer turf models have an oil cooler mounted at the rear now and a larger hyd. tank on the RH side where the air cleaner is on other models. The non-turf models have plastic tanks. Any ways, the 45 degree angle of the LH side frame stay might be off which puts additional stress on it when the bracket & tank are installed. So, re-welding it is pretty your only option...like the "how to" link shows. Also, if you can fab another stay out of slightly thicker material and offset it accordingly it will be stronger.
