rtv rattling front end

i am having a very bad rattle frome the front end when i run over small rocks unlevel terrain but when on smooth trail it sounds great i have done the anti rattle fix with the set screws and rubber hose which is a great fix by the way the drive shaft is totally quit now the front end noise is baffling me i have checked everthing i jacked it up removed the tires checked the tie rod ends the steering jack the drive lines it killing me driving off road it very loud i have put it in 4x4 nothing change same sound i think it has something to do with the shocks but when its setting still you can bounce up and down and nothing.i am going to call the dealer to see if he has a clue of course its out of warranty

is there anyway a rock could have lodged in between the frame and skid plate?i'mnot to familiar with the rtv and it havin a skid plate or not but i figure i might throw out a sugestion.becasue i had a rock in my hub cap on my car one time and it rattled when hitting bumps but was pretty silent when goin down a smooth road.

i was trying to find an answer for you on the net and i came across something i forgot .brake pads did you check the front brake pads for play?this could be your problem to if not it's worth checkin into and x'ing out the sugestion.

What is the front end rattle fix with the hose and set screw?

i got it off one of these forum you take the pin out of the yokes and thread it with a 5-16th thread and incert a 5-16th allen set screw in it with lock tite and it holds the yoke from rattling also you place a heater hose over the spline a bit larger than the lengh to hold pressure on it i have the fix saved to my favorites at home i try tonite to post it and my skide plate is free of rocks

You do not have to do this. Kubota has a factory fix available for the driveline on the older RTV's.

Yes, that fix has been around for over a year. There is a service bulitin out for that particular fix. I had mine done some time last year but I thought you were talking about something different.

The service bulletin for the drive shaft rattle fix is PSB-2005-047 and the part number that the service bulletin refers to is K7561-91700.
