Thanks for writing my response. I really like my RTV. I have the camo, cab, cab heater, extra lights, radio, etc. I don't like the look of the RTV1100 and don't like the fact you can't take the doors off. Mine are off in the summer. I would like more useable power and the ability to hit at least 40mph.

I have a 1100, I don't know of any reason why you could not remove the doors. All you would have to do is remove the hydraulic arm and lift the door off. Do you know if there is some reason why you can't remove the doors?

yea if you wanna do 40mph then the rtv ain't for you.if i do 40mph in a utv i'll be in traction. they just ain't in the stort class they are workin class. although there was a thread about a adjustment to the 900 rtv to power it up maybe there is an adjustment for the 1100??

I did tweak my 1100 and now it goes almost 30 mph. I could get more but you have to remember this is a big heavy machine. I really don't think I would want to go much faster in the 1100. You are correct, this is not a sport machine, it is a workhorse.

I am looking at buying a UV and I sure like the Polaris Ranger 6X6 but I own a Kubota L-2800 Tractor and sure have been happy with it so I was looking at getting the Kubota but it sure is hard to do when everything I see tends to favor the the Ranger. You folks have any input?

Thats kinda odd, I'd say almost everything I see favors the Kubota. Maybe it depends what your goals are though. BCZOOM who posts here has owned both (i think). He is not around the computer for the next few days though.

I say CONGRATULATIONS...no matter which UTV was purchased. What is important is that each man evaluates a combination of his needs, budget, acerage, terrain, dealer support, and overall aesthetic appeal...and any other factors important to the purchase and use of the machine. Then do all you can to gain your wife's permission. The term "smooth operator" does not always apply to the operation of heavy equipment...unless you have a plus-size wife. (That's a whole different thread). Anyways...ENJOY!
