Changing my ac filters yesterday I notice the inside cab filter allows major dust intrusion into the system. Its not sealed and just sits in front of the recirculating opening. I don't use recirculate but its not a sealed filter and if the door doesn't shut all the way or the foam seal wears out it sucks dust from the floor. In my case it gets pretty dirty this time of year so plenty of dust available. I plan to permanently seat it off but I would like to clean my evaporator and ducts. anybody tackled this?
There is no problem with ac this is just an issue I just noticed. The main filter under the hood seals pretty good. There is dust inside the duct so I know its made it to the evaporator.
