RTV500 - Decrease Tire PSI for Mud?

Somebody on the board found a tach with an inductive hookup also....I'm not sure what brand it was or if it was any cheaper.

About 80 bucks:D

The factory wasn't too helpful when I called so I'd rather just PM the make n model if anyone wants it.

Thats good info on the tire pressure and servo adj, thanks.

If you do those adjustments, make sure they are done together or the benefit is lost. Not hard, but a very step by step process...Made a HUGE difference on my 500.

I know this might be highjacking a thread on tire pressure but.....:ashamed:

Are these adjustments where the cables are disconnected on the bellcrank to see where the range of motion on the tranny is? I copied pictures of a post on that a while ago. I don't remember a servo picture but I will scroll back and find the posts because I thought they were awesome.

I need to get on that. Thanks:thumbsup:

If you look on the front of the servo (black painted piece) you'll see the adjustment screw on the front...I think it was a 14mm wrench to loosen then I just backed the screw out by hand and retightened the nut. My unit was pretty good out of the gate but the rpm and servo adjustments made a big difference in power...the servo adjust was huge, my RTV 500 will take off spinning the tires in dirt now....the power is instantly there unlike before where it would hesitate before being able to bring the rpms up.

This thread has a bit more info on it that might help you out

I'm in my garage right now about to do the servo adj. Do I really need a timing light for this, because I don't have one at the moment?

Not for the servo adjustment....we used the timing light only for the tachometer feature...as long as you don't adjust your throttle stops and you only change the servo screw you don't need one.
