RTV500 Owners?

If you figure out a safe way to get more speed out of the 500 please post. I am ok with it the way it is but would like to see what is could be capable of.

I have had an RTV500 since last May. We have a cottage in northern Michigan and we use to ride trails, haul fire wood and ride to the beach. We just love it. When I first took delivery, I discovered that the 4 wheel drive did not work. The unit also had the rattle noise that has been discussed here. This unit was built in June '08 and had been on the dealer lot for a while. When the dealer found the problem with the 4 wheel was an assembly problem from Kubota, Kutoba had the deliver give me a new unit out of the crate because there were no parts in the States to fix the 4 wheel drive. The new unit does not have the rattle sound.

I got a Seizmik wind shield and soft top with back window, which works great. I applied Herculiner to the bed and foot wells. I mounted a little tool box under the hood as the Kubota storage unit is over priced. Here's a couple pictures.

How is your SMV sign mounted?

I drilled a couple of holes through the lip behind the seat and used a couple of bolts. There may have been an existing hole that I used. Here's I shot from the back, but sorry you cannot see the mounting.

I mounted my CMV by loosening the seat back and placing the bracket in the center mounting hole. (Using that bolt / nut).
Also made brackets for light and mirror. Temp for now until I get a top etc.
Note: use longer bolts for mirror and light brackets.
