Has anyone installed the Kubota auxiliary fuel filter kit which replaces the in-line fuel filter with a screw-on type cartridge within a separate filter housing?

If so, my question is how did you get to the bottom of the fuel tank to replace the fuel hose with the longer fuel hose that's necessary to hook up the the filter housing? It looks like an extremely tight fit at the bottom of the fuel tank.

haven't put the kit on, didn't even know one existed. it is a great idea as i just changed my fuel filter tonight on mine. not too difficult, but would be much easier with that kit you mentioned. i am lucky since i have somewhat small hands and am pretty nimble. i could see where if someone had big hands it would be a tight fit and kinda a frustrating thing to do in a tight spot.

I may just leave the in-line fuel filter in place and route the remote filter after the in-line filter and end up with dual filtration.

Wonder if that'll work?

Went out last night and installed the Kubota remote fuel filter kit after the in-line fuel filter. Replaced the in-line fuel filter with a NAPA (Wix) #3002 which is rated as a 20 micron filter. Available from NAPA for $3.99. Almost an exact replica of the OEM Kubota fuel filter and better filtration than the OEM (20 micron vs. 30 micron). Replaced all the fuel lines while I was at it with marine-rated diesel fuel hose, except for the hard to replace fuel line (supply) running from under the tank to the 1st filter.

Started right up and runs great.

Wonder why the RTV900 owners manual tells you to take it to the dealer to replace the fuel filter?

I put one on my RTV1100 2009 and used a 90 degree plastic fitting. Short line from the fuel tank, not sure probably 4 to 5 inches, the 90 degree fitting and then a short line to the new filter. Long line from other side of filter to the fuel pump.

Previously I had tried just using the line from tank to filter and it kinked. RTV would run and quit, wait 5 minutes and run again for 5 to 10 minutes. Problem, kinked fuel line. 90 degree plastic fitting cured problem.

Cheers.
