I have a 2005 RTV 900 with real low hours and always kept covered but the seat, both cushion and back rest, is starting to go to pot. I think for its age this is to be expected and I can get both re-covered by a good upholsterer for $250-$300. This is based on another RTV1140 that I had to have both seat cushions redone @$150 each, the back rest is smaller so may be less. I really don't care for the stock seat as it is uncomfortable and anytime I'm on a side slope I have to brace myself even with seat belt.

I would like to go to a more comfortable seat with a better seat belt configuration and just wondered if any of you other RTV owners had found anything that worked for you and is reasonably priced.

Thanks Jim

I have a 2005 RTC 900 and bottom of seat started to tear. I use to just tape it up but I finally just bought a seat cover for it. Put some more tape on the tear and put the seat cover over it.

I had my mule seat reupholstered because the corner was cracked, but not happy with the job. He only folded over the corners and didn't use long enough staples. I could have done the same job!

Thanks for the reply. We have a local guy here who does a good job but he charges $150 per section and you still have the same uncomfortable seat, just no holes. It's usually only me in it so I was kind of thinking about a bucket type seat with more side support and a better seat belt system to help keep my round old body in the rig but haven't seen any that look like they would work in the crowded space.

My guy was a customer of mine and generally does really good old-school work. Does much work for transit authorities. Don't know how or why he did such a lousy job on this. You might be able to put in a couple of low back tractor or gator style seats, but would loose the possibility of carrying a cramped third party.

You might ask "seatwarehouse.com" if they have something.
Nice folks to buy from.
