RTVs and tracks

New member, but long-time tractor and UTV owner...
What's the verdict on RTV1100s with LiteFoot (or other) tracks? I'm researching this for use in ranch-type work over snow on log roads and hilly fields at 2200' elevation or less. I've seen some conflicting threads posted here in the past on this combination. Thanks in advance...

I do not have your answer but I would have a concern about the RTV's speed with them. I looked at a set for my XUV Gator and where I live it is very hilly and we do get snow. My Gator has a hard time maintaining 15-20 MPH when pulling light duty trailers, etc., up some of our hills on paved or tightly graveled roads (32 mph) on flats when its dry and easy. The Kubota, like the Gator I have, has about 25 HP and is diesel. I have read most of these track systems will slow the top speed down by 30% or more. With my Gator, though it pulls great and runs fine on flats, its unfavorable power-weight ratio seems like it would slow it to 7-8 mph on some of our hills with tracks and probably slower than that in snow. I suppose that it beats walking, but I would have a concern the heavy RTV would not power the tracks well enough to maximally utilize them and would be so slow when pulling something or negotiating a hill it would defeat the purpose. This was my concern with my Gator, which is much faster and seemingly more spunky on my hills than my neighbor's RTV. This is why I did not go for a set for my Gator and would be reluctant about a set on an RTV.

using mattracks on a RTV does not work. it is way to heavy for them.
