That picture looks like the operator just shoved the throttle forward though...
Our old 4020 smoked pretty good, but we had the pump "kicked up a notch

" and it smoked all the time, even at idle (blueish smoke). We also had a Ford 6600, talk about smoke, that thing SMOKED. I mowed a LOT of hay with that tractor. The Allis-Chalmers 190 (One-Ninety) on the silage blower was no slouch either for making a little cloud. On the blower after dark, when it was pulling hard, you could see a little orange-ish flame coming out the exhaust stack, pretty neat.
I miss the smoke... Diesels are supposed to smoke, but they don't anymore
