Tractor
Rural King RK24H
Been doing a lot of brush hogging with the RK24 in temperatures around 90 F. I Get a lot of heat from the motor back on my legs. Was wondering if it would hurt the tractor (effect the efficiency of cooling of the motor) if I ran it with the side engine covers removed. It makes a big difference on the amount of hot air put back on the operator and I would think having the air flow unrestricted around the motor might even make it run cooler. No way to tell since there is no temperature gauge. What do you guys think??

I think if your cooling system is functioning properly - it should be OK to remove the side panels.

Think they're on there to keep the larger stuff out.
And to make them look pretty.. ;)
