RZT 50 Belt Wear

My mower is eating drive belts. They wear out after a month of mowing. I noticed that the pulleys are a little rusty. Is there anything else I should look for?

Are the belts wearing out on the outside or inside. The rust should wear off quickly. The belt may be rubbing on a guide rod. Follow the belt around the drive sheave and the deck. See if any guides are bent and rubbing.
