Does anyone own or have shot a Smith and Wesson 627 357 magnum 8 shot revolver? How is the quality? How does it shoot? Looks like a nice HD gun!

Yes, I have one from the S&W performance center. This is one really sweet revolver. No jump or twist, and dead on accuracy. A real pleasure to shoot. Plus, you can plink with 38 ammo.

Hiya,

Can't say I have shot one but I did have a Model 27 in 357 that was setup by Ron Power for PPC years ago. The larger N frame makes a mild shooting 357 because of the weight over the K or L frames. I eventually found the smaller frames were a better match because the diet of 38 spl didn't justify the strength and weight of the larger frame. If you like the larger frame and don't need the power of the 357, you may want to look at the 625 in .45acp,

Tom
