Long time reader, first time posting.

I have 2 650G Bison's. I need to locate a hydraulic adapter plate for for the "younger" one. The serial number is 800XXX. According to my parts book I need the one made for serial numbers above 700XXX, part number is 1180 7010 000.

Now for the whole story. The first Bison was bought by my grandfather in the early 80's. It still only has 480 hours on it and looks like new. Serial number 800XXX. Last month I bought the second Bison in order to scavenge the loader off of it. It's serial number is 400XXX with 800 hours on it. It was missing the water pump and alternator and all the body panels were removed and left lying in the weather. I loaded eveything up and brought her home. I was a little bummed when I realized that swapping the loader required a different adapter. Soooooo....I decided to restore the whole tractor, transfer the loader to my grandfather's tractor and sell the restored tractor. This adapter plate is the final piece of the puzzle. I would just leave the loader on the restored tractor and use it, but it does not have power steering, and I need to recoup some of my money before the wife finds out how much I spent restoring it :D  Selling my grandpa's tractor is out of the question.

I hope that someone out there can help me out.

Thanks for the links, but I may not need the plate after all ! The tractor has been at my dad's place, and I just brought it back to begin the "transplant" of the loader. I had assumed that the tractor would not have the plate since it never had a loader or any other hydraulic attachments. BUT, it looks like their is already a plate on there. Only thing that's confusing me is it only has one port (currently has a factory installed plug in it). I could see tapping into it for pressure, but where do I connect the return line from the loader valve? I assume the factory installations had a specific place/way other than running a line to the reservoir fill plug??
On the older tractor (the one with the loader already installed), the hydraulic adapter plate has two ports...one for pressure, one for return, and the whole assembly is on the draft control valve body (which the newer tractors don't even have). Once I remove the loader, can I just put plugs in both ports or will this cause problems since these are "open center" systems? Do I need some kind of "block off" plate and remove the adapter?

Sorry for all the hydraulic questions on this part of the forum, but since they are tractor-specific questions I thought it would be OK.

Any suggestions appreciated.

i remember someone posted that he used the fill hole for the return.

Would it hurt anything if I put a "T" fitting on the return line from the power steering booster? It would make for a neater installation, but I don't want to risk damaging the booster. Anyone think this is a "no-no"?
