It was terrible -- first day since the new tractor arrived that I haven't found some reason to start it up and run it a while! We need the rain we got, could use some more, but it softens the ground and limits where I want to drive the thing, too.
The grapple is very nice for pulling large clumps of multiflora/brambles/blackberries/devil's walking stick out of the ground. It also works wonderfully on brush piles that get moved to fill in some old small gullies, pick up large sandstone blocks and place them carefully to form steps, move logs, and assorted other chores. After having one for less than a week, I'd classify a grapple as similar to a pickup or an FEL. You don't know for sure if you would use one until you get it, then you wonder how you got along without it. I strongly recommend that everyone look into adding a grapple to their bucket.
