Alberta in late December and we're on the plus side of 0 (Celsius of course /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif) Only a very light dusting of snow remains and with the +5 to +10 degrees we're expecting over the next couple of days, it'll go too. Just doesn't seem very festive.

So much for snowmobiling /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Merry Christmas everyone!

It has been white around here for about 3 weeks. I wish it would last a few more days, but we hit 50° F yesterday. It is supposed to rain today, so I am not looking forward to the muiddy mess from the rain and melting snow.

Not here. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Even if it went to +20 C. It would not melt. They are promising us some rain and snow the next 2 days with a high of +2C. Then its back to below zero weather. Boy using them Celsius numbers just makes me cold. I can go out and work in 32 degree Fahrenheit temps. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

We had a solid 6" of packed and crusted over snow but the temps hit 40F yesterday and promise to be the same today. We've still got a good amount of the snow but it made a formal retreat and surrendered the roads and driveways back to blacktop.

I blame DaveNay, he stopped by last weekend for coffee and to pick up a new Farm King snowblower for his JD. During coffee his father in law said that now that Dave has a blower it won't ever snow again! But at least we have enough on the ground to survive another day of 40F temps and still have a NEARLY white Christmas.

Well, you all can keep your snow and your cold. I like the fact that we will have no snow, and in the 40's for Christmas. Guess I am just getting too old.

What are you kids going to do when you do get old. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We had a snowfall here of ten inches on the night of the 9th and it kept snowing for the rest of the week following that. But Thursday the temp hit 43 degrees and a lot of the snow has melted. I can cope with the reduced heating bills better than I can with having the mud. But I do feel sorry for the kids who get snow toys for Christmas and there isn't anything left to play in. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Had small grandkids here for last Christmas and we had 6" of snow .... IN TEXAS SOUTH OF HOUSTON! .... now they're all asking "where's the snow?" I gave a bad time to our forecaster that predicted it last year 10 days in advance .... and told him I was sending all the kids to his house looking for it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice house, even without the snow.
