OKIDOKI folks it's that time......2nd cut this year and my eyes look like a new yea's hang over morning......:D

So I need a pair of goggles to keep the particle out...whew....it was just dry enough to cut one side of the creek and my eyes looked ...well...you know...
Dewalt has the yellow framed clear lens but when wearing Rx glasses the sunlight is arrrrrgh....tough...and their smoked lens are out of stock...unreal....

So...any anyone out there with sensitive eyes have a solution yah'll been using and would be willing to share.....
My third year and don/t wanna push the envelope on punishing my eyes....
Thanks everyone....

I've got the Dewalts and they work okay but I haven't used them in a while.

Not sure how well these will keep stuff out but I found some full lens reader safety glasses on eBay I am in love with. I have bought 4 pairs of the smoke and just bought a pair of clear. These things are crystal clear and they have them in +2.5 which is my distance prescription. The glasses are called Pyramex Emerge Plus and they are sold by Amp Eyewear. They sell them in + 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0. Not sure they have the stronger ones in the smoke.

Not sure if or how well they would fit over prescription glasses but they do list the Dewalt Converter Smoke padded safety glasses.

Some hardware stores sell prescription safety glasses with foam inserts. The inserts work fantastic to keep dust and debris out.

My eye care insurance kicks in for prescription safety glasses. So I have a couple pair of wiley x glasses with ballistic lenses, the foam inserts, bifocals, as well as transition lenses. I get a new set every couple years. I keep the older pair at the house for use when in mowing with the zero turn.

Prescription is a little off on the older set, but doable for mowing.

I wish I would have protected my eyes better throughout my life. Red-hot grinding grit and steel, sun, sand and all other types of debris. Same goes for hearing protection. Wish I had done better. Now, eyesight is blurry and my ears ring. Both preventable.

The hard thing is keeping goggles or safety glasses from getting all scratched up...looking through a bunch of scratches will give you a headache...so as important as wearing eye protecting is protecting the goggles/glasses when they are not being used...getting tossed on a work bench etc...
Also use a second (beater) pair when grinding...they will get speckled...

When doing grinding where sparks can come at you, throw on a face shield over the glasses. Much better at keeping crap off your face and eyes, and the shield is meant to be replaced when it gets too munged up
