I figured out how to disable the govt mandated nanny hassles on my GT2500 HD series tractor. To disable the seat nanny you can simply unplug it under the seat. Put electrical tape over the plug to avoid a short if you stick crap under the seat. The reverse nanny that randomly shuts down the PTO when backing despite turning it off with the ignition button can be disabled by removing the mower then uplugging the switch which is centerline, above, and forward of the shaft for the pedals. Once unplugged you can pinch the switch body to pull it out of the metal tab holding it. Then plug the switch back in and tape it up out of the way. I am sure you can disable the brake switch, however it requires some wiring expertise.

Be aware you now can stand up, get off the tractor or back up with the PTO/mower running. So look before you back up and don't stick you hand under the deck! If I have to tell you this, Darwin has predetermined your demise anyways. ;)

I agree. If you ever trade it or sell it, hook them back up.

My seat switch doesnt work that way. When I unplugged mine it would kill as soon as I let off the brake. I wanted to teach my 10 year old son to how to drive the tractor so that maybe next year he could learn to mow the yard and even though he is 5' 2" and almost 100lbs he wasnt able to keep the tractor running. I adjusted the seat but it didnt make any difference. If it does the same thing next summer I will figure out how to bypass it. Obviously smaller people wouldnt be able to use a tractor like this because the switch requires too much weight.
