safety switch?

Is there a clutch safety switch,on a TC29? Looked in manuel,says to depress to start,but nothing about a switch. The reason I'm asking is I inadvertently started without the clutch depressed,and was wondering if I have a defective switch. Thanks, Tim

My TC29D doesn't require the clutch to be depressed, and in fact it spins a little faster if it isn't depressed. Range must be in neutral to start. I don't know what the situation is on the TC29.
