safety switch

I have a 2002 33D that i can not get to start.How do you check to see it the safety switch are working.The stater will not even run but gat a clicking sound from under the dash and to the right.

Is the battery OK? On my Class III, if a safety switch is open I don't get anything - no "clicks".

I recently had a starting problem associated with a safety switch. A wire had pulled just barely loose, looked good, but did not complete connection. The tractor would not turn over due to the safety override system, no clicking and no noise.

Since it is clicking, I would look at the battery charge condition or starter solenoid.

I would check the battery first.. my TC35D wouldn't start the other weekend.. the pto light stayed on.. messed w/ the safety switch for good 45 minutes (hard to reach).. bypassed the switch.. no good. Ended up one of the 7.5 fuses was blown.

As others have suggested, you want to be sure and check the battery first. With high humidity, it's likely you just have dirty terminals. One way to normally check for dirty battery terminals is to turn your headlights on. If the terminals are really dirty, the lights won't even glow. If they come on, hit the starter switch. If they go out instead of just get dim when you hit the starter, you know it's dirty terminals. If you have a voltmeter you can check the battery charge by looking for 13.5 volts or more.

There are many things to check, but when I hear a clicking sound, I start looking at the battery really quick.

Did all of the above allready.The clicking sound is coming from what looks like a big block type fuse from behind the side panel i think they are like 4-5 of them in a row .Not the back panel one that goes to the engine but the blue one u have to remove by taking bolts out the one next to the dash.Those switchs just make me wonder i can not even find them but the one for the seat.
