So i wanted to post this as soon as i knew for sure how they were going to do this, so basically Branson is doing a rename on some of their units to coincide with their actual horsepowers and series.
this is what models are changing.
3520H/R models become 3620R/H models
4015H/R models become 4215H/R models
25 series - discontinued for now...( all they have told me)
4520R/C - Become 4820R/C
4720H/CH Become 4820 H /CH
35 series - we will see the first cab versions of these models the first being the 5835C, no Hydrostatic version coming at present time or i just wasn't told about it.( yes there will be more HP ranges coming we haven't been told what they will be but i'll update this once i know more.)
7845R/C - Becomes 7445R/C ( blame the EPA for this one losing some HP)
Branson 110HP ( pending more info but due to hit the production line late period of quarter 4 of this year and should make it to market around the end of the 1st quarter of next year.)
Time for some new gear sets, all of the 20 series units being renamed will be getting an additional gear set in the trans taking them from 12 to 16 gears, as well as a manual regen button for the DPF system( this will basically allow users to preform a manual regen on the Exhaust system to prevent premature clogging on the filter we experience now.

I believe this is all the info i have up to current, i will update this thread as more info becomes available.

I wonder if the 7845 "lost" it's hp at the brochure.

Four range gears and a manual regen button both sound like significant features. I'm curious how the manual regen works with the mechanical fuel injection.

Yes when that model comes out it will be advertised as A 7445 and be advertised with 74 horsepower it all basically has to do with the EPA and the teir 5 restrictions put in place by them

Thanks for keeping us updated Asteral.

It will be interesting to see how well they setup a new 110HP tractor,
they missed the mark on the 8050 in a few respects.
Also be interesting to see how well they support a new larger tractor,
heck if they only sold 75 of the 8050's how many of an even larger one will they sell?

Thanks for the update and participation on this forum Asteral. It's very nice to know what's coming and the plans for the future from Branson.

I'm interested on how Branson will take on the DPF change. I'm guessing this may also has to be related to the new emission requirements for Europe, that got delayed to 2021.

DPF requires something to inject more fuel during Regens, wondering how Branson will manage this on a mechanical engine. And I wonder if it will still be a stand alone system like the DOC is at the moment, which is easily removed.

Yes, thank you for the update Asteral! I also did not realize they sold so few of the 8050. Hopefully they will have better success with the new 110 hp tractor. Look forward to seeing it.

I'm super interested to see how they will handle the regens as well, we are supposed to get tech sheets for the new regen system in a few months on how it operates, which i for one will be interested to see how they manage to do the regen within EPA compliance and not have a DEF system, which they have adamantly said will not be present if they can do the emissions without DEF, they don't want the additional electronics on the tractors so they plan on doing all tier 5 exhaust without it, so its going to be cool to see how they manage that without a DEF system involved.

Good to hear they're trying to keep things simple.

I'm also interested in the new regen system and what they come up with.

If you need someone to field test one in REAL winter cold conditions, have them send one up to me, and I'll shake it out over the next winter.

:D

We do appreciate you keeping us informed.
