I bought a 4 wheel drive beaver with engine problems. Seems piston walls are heavy pitted . Needs pistons, rings , etc, .After pricing the parts I darn near passed out .
I can rebuild a cummins 4bt or a case 188 for the price of the piston and rings. Let alone the gasket set.
So I want to find a engine to repower it . Any suggestions .
I do not want to spend a ton of funds on this tractor . Not that the engines are not good. I just do not like getting raped on pricing for a 2 cylinder diesel .
And would be nice to be able to get parts the same day.
