Satoh Beaver transmission diagram

I am in need of a transmission diagram for my Beaver. When I purchased
the tractor it would not go into reverse. Opened up the transmission and
found the problem, however I noticed that the gear that controls the 4X4
appears to have been put in backwards. The guy that I purchased the tractor from had, had his son tear into it too try to figure out the reverse.
I have a feeling he didn't know what he was doing and ended up putting the gears back in wrong. I don't need a full service manual, I just need to make sure that the gear I'm concerned with is in properly. I searched the forum
back a couple of years hoping to find something on the transmission, but didn't find anything. Does anyone have a diagram or know of a site I can
go to?

Welcome to the site.

You ask a very broad question, would help if you identified the tractor model number.

There are a couple of guys that monitor the site that could offer you manuals at decent prices.

I have been told that the 370 Beaver is completely different than the 372 and 373 Beaver. Which is yours?

May sound like a really stupid answer, but I don't know which "beaver" it is.
Where do I look to find out? Serial #?

I'm stepping out on a limb but I don't think the serial number will help. If you have decals on the hood, one might tell you. Also there should be a metallic sticker on the side of the frame on the front under the sheet metal that may have the model number, serial number and horsepower. This will look like aluminum or chrome, slightly larger than a business card.

I found the label you refered too on the frame (covered in oil, didn't even
know it was there) The tractor is a 370 D 15hp.

Now go to Valley Power and choose the parts link on the left. Scroll down and you will find a diagram for S370 Beaver transmission gears.
