Suggest that you consider driving a pump from the crankshaft. The pulley was made to accept an adapter for accessories.
I added a pump up front on my Mitsu years ago to speed up my FEL operation. Mitsu/Sotah actually made a part to adapt and it used an electric clutch.
The crank pulley has 3 machine threads to accept the adapter that is like 3 fingers at the end of a short splined shaft.
From the shaft I added a U-joint that I coupled to a pump that I mounted on a fabricated bracket.
Has given me excellent service for about 600 hrs so far.
I did this primarily to speed up the FEL operation and it leaves the engine pump for 3-point and power steering.
