hi again,
i have a 650 that will stall or slow way down and not recover its rpms even when used lightly it back fires sometime when this happens, another way to describe it is it lacks power runs and moves well in lo range but put it in high it wants to stall any ideas guys i will borrow a timing light tonight and try that tomorrow

I have a S650G that I will be moving up to Green Lake Maine when I bought mine It ran like yours. I changed the in line fuel filter after I drained the gas tank. Runs good but have not tested it under a load like plowing. have a carry all for the 3-piont and a 5ft. landpride mower. My tractor was heavily rusted . I wire brushed it and painted it with POR-15 which is easy with a brush. Has electronic ignition from Genesee Products which instaled easy. If you have a full tank of gas siphon it out into a clean container letting it go through a paint filter leave a little gas in the tank then open the drain in the tank to get rid of the sediment. Or rig up something to drain the entire tank out through the drain plug and filter it. I got good information from this web page on NAPPA parts numbers

hi all,
very simple fix after timing and changing out the old gas with mixed results a friend told me to check the spark plug wires numbers 2+3 were backwards tractor runs great now
