Satoh S-650G Transmission Repair

I have a 650G with a busted transmission. From what I can tell the layshaft broke. The trouble I am having is that the repair manual I have doesn't show much about the inside and parts of the transmission. I think I can fix it if I had some more info. Does any one have better info on the transmission?

Broke down the transmission and it's a mess. Layshaft broke in half most of the gears have at least chipped teeth some missing a bunch. Looks like parting out time.
