Recently overhauled and runs fine until too rich mixture fouls plugs. Carb dissasembled several times float adjusted air mix adjusted. I've been working on this for 6 months. Good spark, adj plug gap new plugs. Has anyone found another small one barrel that will adapt? Has anyone found a diesel engine that will adapt? No one around here will touch it.

Maybe rebuilt one-to-many times. Why not the same model carb, just a new one. Haven't heard there ever was a problem with these and there's tons of 'em out there.

You may have some dirt in the fuel that it keeping the needle open and you have to clean the carb again as well as the rest of the fuel system. There are at least 3 models of this carburetor. one has a check ball and pin that is an air bleed. If the check ball is stuck or missing this could affect fuel metering. Other models have check valves in the fuel passages. If these check valves are stuck or damaged, it could affect fuel flow. As you can see there are several things that could cause this. You need to go back through what you did and check and clean everything again. Also recheck your float. With all the unstable additives in the fuel today, we sometimes have to do this job more than once. If you want us to go through the carburetor, call 800-609-5110. Bill (satohparts.com)
