Loader not working but 3 point does but its surging was low on fluid so I drained it and am cleaning screen now. could low fluid cause this? Or possible other problems? Just bought this got it running after sitting 3 years

I've got an S550G which uses the same Mazda PB100 engine as your tractor, and the front loader on this one has its own pump for hydraulics. Pretty sure yours does too, but I have been wrong before!
This one has a pump mounted on the right side of the engine in front of the governor. The hydraulic fluid is located in the right side upright of the loader, near the hand controls.
If this is the same make sure that has fluid and a good belt.
If I am totally wrong and yours runs off the trans/3 point, check under the radiator on the lower front of the engine. There is a shaft that runs the pump for the 3 point hitch. Make sure it is operational. I had that come loose with some heavy use and the hitch got real sluggish; tightened the bolts down and all has been good since!

The hydraulic pump is located just below the radiator and supplies all the hydraulic needs. It is located below the radiator and powered by the crankshaft. The connection block may be loose or (very likely) stripped out. It is designed to do that when placed under too much of a load to keep from breaking the hydraulic pump shaft. There are replacements available and I wouldn't try making your own as the metal is soft so that it will protect the pump properly --the voice of experience

The screen is normally a simple bronze mesh that an EBay search will locate.
All mesh sizes can be found by the sq foot at low $$.
Opt for brass as you can solder easily to fit.
