Savana Oak

Taking advantage of a rare 4 day dry-spell in December, this Savana Oak was 90% hollow at the base; 4 feet up, and leaning heavily. Three 8s and two 12s, plus limbs.

It will cure nicely for winter 2224-2225-26.

An added bonus of watching the blacktails later today; going berzerk over the buds & liken.

Average humidity here is 26%, cutting planks with the "Alaskan" (sitting in my shop for 8 years) will be my first.

I'll probably cut 3" or 4" slabs, paint the edges & let them dry in the shed.
