Saw something today that gave me a little hope

Came across a lemonade stand 2 years ago. Little girl selling; not much traffic coming by. I stopped. Got some for me, my brother, and Grandma(Grandma was 99 at the time). Girls Mom comes out, as I ask what she is selling lemonade for. Turns out it was for her 4H bunny project.

Lemonade was 50 cents. We got three. And left a $20 tip.

I am a big supporter of youth, especially Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and 4H. I make them work for it though. Tell me about the camp they are going to, for Boy Scouts or Cub Scouts, they gotta do their Den/Patrol yell. They earn it. But I'll support them.

My MIL had a garage sale a few months back and the wife went to go help her out. My kids and their 2 cousins set up a stand and sold lemonade. My daughter (just turned 7) has type 1 diabetes, and they all decided that they would donate the proceeds to JDRF (juvenile diabetes research foundation). When the wife told me about that it made me feel pretty good.
