On tuesday I found a great deal on a JD 755 with FEL and 6ft. rear blade with 421 hrs. for $8k. I was thinking of buying it and reselling it for a quick $2k profit, but instead I told my hunting buddy and neighbor about it. Well this evening he drove over with his "new to him" toy.... I mean tool!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif his grin was ear to ear! After only one hour he was hooked on the benefits of tractor ownership. Already he was moving dirt piles and large rocks with the FEL. Now next year when the big snows come I have one less driveway to clear!

Those '55 series machines are pretty popular.

A buddy of mine has one (no loader though). He's had it for ten years and runs the heck out of it.

The first machine I looked at was a 655. No loader but had MMM and rear (PTO) snow blower. It was pretty old, but sold mighty quick. Since that one was 2WD, it wasn't for me.

The only thing I think is kinda odd about the '55 series is the placement of the headlamps.

The machine shown in the attached pic doesn't have a loader, but it appears the headlamps would be useless with a FEL installed.

Thomas, That depends on which place we are hunting. I guess it will come down to who's house is closer to the deer! I hope we will need both!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Last year on opening morning we had three to get out of the woods, had to use a trailer on the back of the tractor to get all of them out at once!

Roy,Yea, those lights were pretty useless on his way home last night. We pulled his tractor into the shop next to my B2710 to compare, and see the size differance. (Not much) One thing I did not care for was the placement for the disconnects for the FEL. Looks like a hard spot to reach, and not much thought was put into the placment of them. Overall its a nice rig that will serve my neighbor very well for years to come. And is he ever happy! Boy if you think his wife is sore at me now,... just wait untill I show him TBN!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
