sawed up some amazing crotch walnut last week (video)

Last week I finally started sawing up my walnut log inventory. I have about 100 walnut logs ready to saw.

This one turned out pretty well with some amazing crotch figure. It was a yard tree also, but luckily

did not have any metal, I videoed the days sawing. Thought you guys would like to see,

You made some beautiful lumber - you use it to construct or do you sell it. BTW - where are you located that you have such nice large walnut trees?

I helped my neighbor pull pine trees out of this place and prep them for a borrowed lumber mill. Not as big - nor as fancy as yours. The initial adjustment you make are all manual - when the unit starts cutting, then its operation is automatic - correct. As you move down the log - you reach up every so often and give the blade a "squirt of water" - right.

My, OH, my - - that is truly some beautiful lumber. Nice table top, hearth & fireplace mantle material.

FWIW...it looks to me like he is adjusting the flow...when cutting most logs there should be a constant flow of lube water (H2O+ surface tension cutting additive like liquid soap etc.) on the blade...they are usually gravity fed from a reservoir mounted on top of the carriage.
