SC2450 and Off-Road Diesel?

Can I put off-road Diesel in my SC2450? The manual says no, but the dealer did it on my first tank full... Tractors are "off road vehicles" and near as I can tell don't have emission controls that can get fouled - so off road diesel is ok?

The main difference is just the tax and dye added to highway diesel. Some places the off road may have a little bit higher sulfur content but you'll be fine in your tractor. Usually the off road is the ulsd stuff you'll get in the highway diesel pump.
