John Deere 5210 tractor with a JD 541 model front end hydraulic loader with down pressure, quick attach bucket. Diesel engine w 2233 original hours showing on the working tack. It also has power steering, drawbar,
540 PTO, 3 pt hitch, hi/low range, fold down rollbar. It has 16.9-28 rear tires, and the front tires are 9/.-24. It also has dual hydualic remotes. It has been well maintained and is ready for work. All the lights and guages work. It starts and runs good!

If your really interested, I'd go look at it. Maybe it's someone in need of the money real quick, maybe it's a dissatisfied spouse. Further investigation might reveal a real good deal.

These scams really stick out. Would be harder to pick them out if the scammers were to put a reasonable price out there. But less than half the value just picks out the very gullible (and have been taken in a few times for a moment or two ).

MOST LIKELY A SCAM!

I know that there has been JD 2305 with tons of attachments and a trailer being offered for around $3000 ($2800-$3500) all over the northeast on Craigslist.

Here is one: 2008 John Deere tractor 2305 (24hp) w/ 54" QuickHitch snow plow 4-way

Before I was aware that these scams existed I contacted the email address shown and asked if it was still available as well as some other specific questions. I got back a very generic email with no anwers to my specific questions like 5 minutes later (obviously a canned response). It said something about having to move to Montana in a hurry and that its already been crated at a shipping company. All i need to do is send a deposit for half the cost via the ebay listing (to protect both of us ironically) and after receiving the tractor I would have 7 days to pay the balance if I liked the tractor. After checking out the suspicious looking ebay link and typing the item number shown on the fake page into a real ebay search and not getting any hits I knew it was a fake.

General rule of thumb, if the seller doesnt want to meet in person to show you the product or do make the transaction it is most likely a scam.

You are absolutely right Gar. I would live to trap these guys and get them arrested. Obviosuly they keep doing it because its working and they are making money.
